Day trips to Nusa Penida
When to go, how to get there, and where the best viewpoints hide.
Penida deserves more than a day, but a day is enough to see why people stay a week. Take the early boat from Sanur — the 7:30 — and you'll be at Kelingking Beach by mid-morning, before the bus tours.
We organise the boat, the driver, and a packed lunch. You bring a swimsuit and sunscreen. The viewpoints are all on the west coast; the beaches are all on the east. Choose one or do both, but pick the one you want to see at golden hour.
